Training and Placement Cell

        The Training & Placement Cell of Padmashri  Dr.Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Institute of Technology & Engineering (Polytechnic), Pravaranagar, Loni organizes training programs for students such as, personality development, interview techniques, communicative English and workshops on subjects related to their curriculum. The cell also arranges lectures of the experts from various industries and academic institute. It includes our alumni too. This is all to update the students and staff regarding recent development in the industries. Besides this, the concerned departmental head and their placement coordinators extend cooperation to organize the process of placement of students.

          The cell liaises with various industries to conduct campus interviews and to select diploma students from all disciplines. The Training & Placement Cell provides all facilities to conduct group discussions, test and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The cell interacts with many industries in the country for arranging industrial visits & short term in plant trainings to get the students the first hand experience of the industrial work. This exposure or experience helps them in understanding the industrial field & enhance their confidence to face the campus recruitment drive. The cell had an honour of hosting the district level campus interview (Pool Campus) by Tata Motors,  Pune  on 11thand 12th February 2014. In this pool campus about 450 students from various polytechnics participated and 78 students were selected.

          During academic year 2013-14 one hundred and twenty three students of our institute were finally selected and twenty two students were shortlisted by various industries. The facility and hospitality provided by the institute to the officials from various industries during campus recruitment are appreciated by them. They are keen on arranging such campus interviews in our campus in future too. Many Plant Head of the company and HR Managers have expressed their wish to have interaction with all students and faculty from time to time.

       Institute has separate Entrepreneurship Development Cell which organizes regular training programme on entrepreneurship development by arranging entrepreneurship camps to motivate the students for self employment. For entrepreneurship the finance is imperative, so we arrange the programme for guidance and counseling of the students regarding various sources of finance, men and material by experts from banking sector.
